Following our fabulous day in the Spring, step into the tranquillity of a beautiful walled garden and immerse yourself in a mindful day of botanical ink painting with artist Sophie Roberts. Designed for all experience levels, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe the natural world, and express yourself through inks, colour, and elegant illustrative line.

Your day begins with coffee and an introduction to the foundations of Botanical Art and Sophie’s own journey into painting with inks. You’ll then ease into creativity with a warm-up session of simple flower line illustrations, building confidence and flow.

From there, Sophie will guide you through working with inks and brushes, helping you explore their expressive potential as you create your first monochrome artwork. In the afternoon, you’ll develop your skills further by introducing colour, pattern, and composition—culminating in your own beautifully layered still-life painting to take home.

No prior art experience is needed. Sophie will support you step by step, ensuring you leave not only with a finished artwork, but with a collection of charming studies and the joy of having spent a restorative day immersed in nature and creativity.
